Landscape Services Made Easy

I don’t know many people who enjoy yard work and lawn mowing. I, for one, am not one of them. I’m too cheap to employ landscapers, so I bitch and groan about it every spring, summer, and fall. Because of new faster machinery, I’m aware of companies that are now offering landscape services at a lower cost than ever before. I still can’t justify spending money on anything I know I can do myself. Checkout the design.

I created my own landscape service schedule to ensure that I was doing it correctly. It keeps me on track in the yard and prevents me from improperly caring for my lawn and landscaping. I even follow a few guidelines when it comes to maintaining my vehicles, lawn, and landscaping.

Let me start by telling you about the landscape services I perform on my lawn each year. When I mow, I use a two-and-a-half-inch setting on my mower. This ensures that I don’t burn the lawn by cutting it too short and exposing the roots to the light. In extreme heat or when the ground is muddy, I will not mow. These conditions, I discovered, are not suitable for the grass.

Every month, I also sharpen my blade. This is a crucial step that should not be overlooked. It keeps the cut clean, preserves the colour of each blade, and removes ragged grass blades. It’s also crucial to mow the grass properly to avoid burning it and damaging it. If you mow your lawn right, you’ll have a lush, thick, dense lawn.

Another field where care should be exercised is watering. The best time to water is first thing in the morning. This helps the lawn to soak up the water and allow the excess to evaporate during the day with the aid of the sun. Check to see if your lawn sprinkler system is covering the whole lawn. This preserves the length and colour of your grass. The trick to a beautiful lawn is to water on a regular basis but not to saturate it.

Aeration is an important aspect of lawn care. When you thatch the grass, the microorganisms that encourage a healthy lawn become more involved. Thatching can be achieved with spiked shoes or a machine that pulls the grass out by the roots. It allows nutrients to seep deep into your lawn’s root system.
